Lorilyn Roberts graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Alabama in 1993 with a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Humanities/Social Sciences. She won an award for "Outstanding Senior Project" upon graduation for her coursework at the Institute of Holy Land Studies in Jerusalem. Lorilyn is currently working on her Master of Arts in Creative Writing from Perelandra College.

As a Certified Court Reporter, Lorilyn has made contributions to the journal published by the National Court Reporters Association. She has spent the last twelve years providing real-time broadcast captioning for television. She blogs on several websites including searchwarp.com and faithwriters.com.

Lorilyn Roberts' first book, The Donkey and the King, is a beautifully illustrated children's book published by Virtualbookworm.com.

In her latest book, Children of Dreams, the many pearls of suffering Lorilyn has experienced enable her to share deeply from the heart. Her inspirational writing reveals how God is able to "restore the years the locusts have eaten." Lorilyn also co-leads the Word Weavers Critique Group in Gainesville, Florida.

When not writing, taking graduate classes, or closed captioning for television/web, Lorilyn homeschools her younger daughter, Joy, who is in seventh grade.
